R/C Flying

I started flying radio controlled airplanes in 2003 after the hobby became “affordable” and a bit easier to get into with “Ready To Fly” (RTF) and “Almost Ready To Fly” (ARF) aircraft. I started with the Great Planes “RealFlight” R/C computer simulator. I learned to fly almost completely with the simulator. My first plane was the Hobby Town Trainer. The first night at the R/C field one of the members did the takeoff and landing for me. The second night no one else was around so I figured I would give it a try myself. I will admit I did numerous “go around's” but I was able to land it successfully. From then on I was fly solo. I currently have four planes flyable, the three seen to the left and a Trainer. And I am working an a Cap 580.
